Developmental Charts

The first few years of life shape a child's future. This is when the most significant brain development occurs. Roughly 80% of brain development is completed by age 3 and 90% by age 5. It is never too early to start incorporating language rich activities into daily routines. Every child develops at a different rate and there is a wide range as to when language development will occur. The charts on this page serve as a guideline for parents and caregivers. It is important to keep track of your child's development and express concerns if you feel they are falling behind.
